Churning Out a Big One
If you are not familiar with the various Nokia models, that is perfectly understandable. With the number of mobile phones Nokia produces each year, it’s a wonder they have not run out of numbers. The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is a touch screen mobile phone that specializes in music playback above all other features. While the phone itself is a decent model, you have to wonder why Nokia made this phone instead of something that has a broader range of functional purposes. Critics would agree that this might just end up as another forgotten phone a few months from now.
Not Half Bad
While it does border on the generic side with its simplistic design and lackluster features, the 5530 XpressMusic is not a bad mobile phone at all. There are decent interface features that allow users to easily access contacts and functions. It also has WiFi connectivity for accessing the internet; now becoming a standard for most mobile devices. The 3.2 mega pixel camera does a fairly good job at taking photos and video. You can also easily access these files for viewing and uploading. Learning to use this phone is easy, turn it on and the rest is intuitive. You can easily grasp how to use this phone in a mere matter of minutes.
As a music player, this phone has a battery that will last for over a day of playback (more than enough for almost everyone). It can also support up to 16GB SD cards, which means your music library will be pretty big. You can also view videos on the wide screen in full view, but the resolution is slightly lower than most phones so do not expect the same quality for viewing videos. Also you are limited to 3GP and MP4 file formats. Not really the best files available, but they are the standards for portable devices.
Battery of Life
One nice feature about the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is its battery life. You can get some serious amount of talk time with this phone on a full charge. Music playback will also last you for more than a whole day and video playback reach almost up to four hours, more than enough to watch the extended cut of a really long movie. Charging this phone is easy too. Give it an hour and you will be ready to go with a full charge. One good thing about Nokia models is that they are almost universally compatible with any Nokia charger and almost all are fast chargers too. Getting a spare battery is easy as well and would be a sound investment for those who spend long periods on the road.
